When I entered the CIS program, she had just taken over teaching many classes at once, and over the years I have been learning from her, I have seen the course content continue to improve and the overall learning experience become much more streamlined. She is knowledgeable across a broad range of subjects and consistently resourceful in helping students succeed. I especially appreciate how approachable she is - easy to talk to, responsive in class and genuinely pleasant to work with. Dear Anna Truss, I want to sincerely thank you for everything you’ve done for me through your CIS 250 and CIS 220 classes. The skills I gained from your courses helped me apply what I learned in the real world at a place I work Costco Business Center warehouse. Using what you taught, I designed one of the most important areas in the building the front fence section that members first see when they enter. I currently work as a stocker, but after showing my Costco eCommerce design and fence design projects, my warehouse manager shared them with his boss. Since then, I’ve gained more respect, trust, and growth opportunities. Leadership has encouraged me to apply for both Supervisor and IT corporate programs, and I now lead up to 7 coworkers while managing one of the most visible areas in the warehouse . I am now given the responsibility not only to stock but also design every week. They now know me for not just being a stocker but also a designer and a leader.
